Fellowship Structure for 6 Fellows
The program accommodates 6 fellows across 3 year cohorts (F1–F6). Fellows F1 & F2 are in Year 1, F3 & F4 in Year 2, and F5 & F6 in Year 3. This structure ensures that at least one first-year fellow is always on Pulmonary Service alongside a senior fellow, maintaining continuity of service and mentorship.
F1 & F2 — Year 1
Begin with 8-week Pulmonary Service orientation. Serve as 1st on-call for the program.
F3 & F4 — Year 2
Progress to 2nd on-call. Begin research and elective blocks. Serve as senior mentors to Year 1.
F5 & F6 — Year 3
Maximum elective flexibility (8 blocks). Research completion. Leadership and teaching roles within the program.
Graduation Requirement
At least one completed and accepted research project required for graduation from the fellowship program.
