T1a: ≤1 cm
T1b: >1–2 cm
T1c: >2–3 cm
T2a: >3–4 cm
T2b: >4–5 cm
T3: >5–7 cm, invasion of chest wall/mediastinal pleura/diaphragm/phrenic nerve, or separate nodule in same lobe
T4: >7 cm, invasion of mediastinum/heart/trachea/esophagus/vertebral body, or separate ipsilateral nodule in different lobe
N3: contralateral mediastinal/hilar or supraclavicular nodes
M Category
M0: no distant metastasis
M1a: separate tumor nodule(s) in contralateral lobe, pleural/pericardial nodules, or malignant effusion
M1b: single extrathoracic metastasis
M1c: multiple extrathoracic metastases in one or more organs
